The UKIP is doing well in the polls recently. Building on the party’s success in England, their leader, Nigel Farage made a foray to Edinburgh to test the party’s support in Scotland
The trip was not the success he hoped it would be. He was confronted by about 50 hecklers in the city’s Cannongate and forced to flee to a nearby pub. When he attempted to leave, a taxi driver . . . refused to pick him up and the police eventually had to bundle him into the back of a van to escort him past the demonstrators
